Materials & Corrosion Studies

Scope of Work:

The scope of this Study is to provide general principles, engineering guidance and requirements for materials selection and corrosion protection for all parts of onshore and offshore facilities including hydrocarbon drilling, production, transmission and processing facilities.

The Study will cover the entire Project Life Cycle and comprehensive enough to cover the entire Facilities in a way that is appropriately termed such as modules, operating facilities, pipelines, CO2 Treatment,  etc. The terminology used will be clear for the design team during the FEED and Detailed Engineering phases.

Key Deliverables of the Study:

  1. Basis of Corrosion & material selection
  2. Corrosion and materials selection evaluation for both internal & external corrosion
  3. Specific materials selection where appropriate.
  4. Corrosion control and monitoring system recommendation.
  5. Facilities that require the corrosion monitoring.
  6. Design limitations for specific materials recommended.
  7. Qualification requirements for new materials or new applications.
